“We are surrounded by innumerable company of angels.”
City of God A/G Church, Tamale, is a local assembly of Assemblies of God, Ghana, inspired by Hebrews 12:18–24. We are committed to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching the undiluted Word of God, encouraging spiritual renewal, nurturing Christian fellowship, and serving people through practical love and care. We welcome everyone to experience worship, prayer, discipleship, and fellowship in God's presence.
We are a church where the full benefits of the finished work of Christ on the cross is made manifest in people’s lives. We are passionate about the salvation, strength, security, and spiritual well-being of all people. We value everyone created by God irrespective of their backgrounds. We respect and cherish the differences of all people as God will bring them our way. We give people the opportunity to serve the Lord in their diverse abilities.
To create an atmosphere for the salvation and spiritual renewal of people through:
1. Proclaiming to every tribe and people the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2. Preaching the unadulterated word of God to equip the saints.
3. Promoting brotherly love in fellowship with a free expression of the heart in faith.
4. Providing care and support to the world based on Christ’s example.
